Typography is the art of selecting, using or creating typefaces and constructing the composition of characters and words to increase the impact of a piece of visual communication.
There are literally millions of different typefaces – each subtly different from the next. Some are well designed, others are not. Choosing appropriate fonts to complement your communication needs careful consideration.
Further impact can be achieved from the collation of all the ingredients. Layout – how each element sits together – is the final step of the design process. Good layout allows us to guide the viewer around the design in the direction that we choose.
